Breast cancer starts with the abnormal growth of cells in the breast. Some of the conventional treatment methods for the Breast cancer are Radiation therapy, Chemotherapy, Hormonal therapy and Surgery. All of them have their part of side-effects but when these conventional lines of treatment are used with ayurvedic medicines, one gets quicker results with least side effects. According to Ayurveda, breast cancer is caused due to variance in three doshas namely, Vata(Blood flow, Elimination and Breath), Pitta(Metabolism) and Kapha(Lubrication). This variance leads to the formulation of cysts in breast cancer.

Types of Treatment:
1.      Panchkarma
Panchkarma is the procedure that cleanses Vata, Pitta and Kapha from the patient’s body. It involves Massage, Steam bath and Pouring avurvedic medicines on the forehead of patients.

2.      Smoke Treatment
 Smoke treatment is given by burning medicinal herbs. This smoke cleanses the noxious elements from the patient’s body.

3.      Yukti Vyapashraya
 This process is used to get rid of dead cells from the patient’s body. It is very effective in treating breast cancer.

4.      Rasa Rasayan Treatment
 This process intends to treat toxic elements that form the basis of breast cancer.

Treatment with Herbals:



1.      Amla
Amla is used in cancer to kill the abnormal growth of cells which harms the healthy cells.

2.      Garlic
Garlic is a known anti-bacterial agent with the ability to stop the formation and activation of cancer-causing agents.

3.      Turmeric
The principle factor of turmeric is curcumin which is an effective antioxidant scavenging free radicals and preventing the growth of cancerous cells.

4.      Ashwagandha
Its anti-cancer value was appreciated about 40 years ago when researchers isolated a crystalline steroidal compound (withaferin A) from this herb. Additional research on these extracts which were taken from the leaf of ashwagandha presented that they were able to kill cancerous cells.

5.      Holy Basil
Studies have discovered that the phytochemicals exist in Holy Basil prevents chemically induced cancers by increasing the antioxidant activity, altering gene expressions, killing cancer cells and stopping the spread of cancer to other cells.

6.      Ginger
In a research it is know that Ginger is helpful to kill the cancer cells. And having the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties to treat Cancer.
